DirectX 6 for Windows NT 4.0

Microsoft DirectX is a collection of application programming interfaces (APIs) for handling tasks related to multimedia, especially game programming and video, on Microsoft platforms. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 holds official compatibility with DirectX 3.0. But with various tweaks, DirectX 6.0 does work on Windows NT 4.0. DirectX 6.0 may appear dated compared to modern versions but is a required component for various applications to run. Many Windows 95/98 applications can run on Windows NT 4.0 with the aid of the unofficial DirectX 6.0 port.
